Bifocal safety glasses

With bifocal safety glasses, it is not necessary to wear reading glasses underneath your safety glasses. They can provide vision for distance, or uncorrected vision in the upper field and correction in the lower area for reading (or the inability to focus on nearby objects). The safety glasses provide a range of bifocal powers, fit and comfort, as do regular bifocals. UV protection is also available.

Most Americans 40 to 65 years of age require reading glasses, and many also need safety glasses in their line of work, when working on various projects at home or in recreational activities. About 10% of all persons who wear safety glasses require bifocal safety glasses.

As in regular bifocal glasses, the magnification area of bifocal safety glasses enables you to read fine print and see clearly. For example, those types of glasses work well for the construction manager who reads blueprints on the job site, since he must be able to read fine print, as well as protect his eyes from hazards and obstacles at a construction site.
