Safe Safety Glasses

Many different types of Safety glasses for protection against UV rays:

The sun is the most common source for UV rays (ultraviolet radiation). This
is a dangerous source for eye injury that people are exposed to each and
every day. Sources other than the sun include tanning beds and welding arcs.
Whereas skin may tan when exposed to UV light, eye tissue does not have a
defense against radiation. Repeated exposure to UV radiation may cause
serious and irreversible damage to eye tissue.

This may result in the growth of cataracts, corneal degeneration, or age related macular degeneration which is a major cause of blindness and cancer tumors of the eyelid, which may be fatal. The best source of protection for UV exposure is proper eye
protection. Glasses, goggles or other eyewear must have UV400 lenses in order to provide the best protection against UV radiation.
